HR Campaign
As part of the Project Safe Childhood initiative, corporations have the opportunity to partner with US Attorneys to reduce Internet crimes against children. Responding effectively to online threats requires a comprehensive effort-law enforcement as well as community partners, working together to teach parents how to implement Internet safety at home.
As a good will measure, this effort allows businesses to invest time and resources into the safety of employees and their families through an initiative that is easily implemented through an effective, broad reach. The resources are provided through an Internet-based tool that can be readily accessible through a company Intranet and easily co-branded with their logo to include a message from an internal spokesperson.
Companies are concerned about protecting their employees and their families online, but the initiative also addresses important corporate data and security issues that can potentially affect the reputation of the employee and employer.
In addition to the co-branded online resources, businesses can organize additional activities to reinforce the initiative. Suggested activities include:
-
Lunch n' Learn sessions utilizing partnering US Attorney's and other local experts to conduct seminars on current safety and security strategies
-
Contests encouraging employees to visit the KnowWhereTheyGo.org online resource
-
Rewarding the first team to review and sign company Internet policies.
The Project Safe Childhood coordinator in the US Attorney's office and iKeepSafe will work hand-in-hand with partnering businesses to create effective company-wide Internet safety initiatives.
